Personal traits cover the areas like confidence,calm hardworking, sincerity,wit sense of humor,sensitivity,sympathy and qualities like wise. These are the qualities which are generally developed in anyone since childhood. It also depends on social background, parents and surroundings. As far as a teacher is concerned these are the essential qualities. All the mentioned qualities are found in every human beings in lesser or greater degree. Teaching is a noble profession,if one enters into it, s/he learns lots of things during teaching. Classroom situation teaches us to be sincere and hard worker only then we can expect our students to be sincere and hard working . Regular practice in teaching also enables sense of humor and wit among teaching teachers A teacher can develop his emotional competence through feed back received from parents as well as from higher authorities, friends colleagues around us. I personally realize the scope for improvement in me as a result of such feed backs. Training programs also raises such skills and helps us to establish it.If a teacher sincerely evaluates him/herself on the basis of such sources ,there will be undoubtedly lot of positive changes that will help us become a model teacher for our students.
In brief I just want to convey that personal traits, though innate qualities can be developed as per the requirement . One has to be open to adopt. If positive changes are incorporated, it will help one to become a SUCCESSFUL TEACHER.
